Cancer Center Research Support Office
The Cancer Center Research Support Office offers full adminsitrative, IT, research operations and facilities support for the laboratories of the NJMS-UH Cancer Center. All research operations are managed through this office including faculty recruitment, hires, visas, purchasing and procurement, graduate and post-doctoral training programs, course development and curriculum, the Cancer Education Summer Program, seminar series and events, management of core facilities and shared equipment, grant support, website and database managment and desktop support.

Dr. Mahon oversees all aspects of the administration of the Cancer Center Research Facility, inlcuding IT, research operations, institutional grant writing and training programs. Her primary focus is to develop and enhance research programs for the cancer center, including curriculum development ( for Cancer Center coursesclick here) and focus groups designed to bring together clinicians and basic scientists at the cancer center and on the Newark Campus ( for focus groups, tumor conferences, events amd seminars, click here).

Diane serves as the Program Administrator for the Cancer Center Research Facility and in this role supports faculty recruitment, visas, hiring, facility and operation budgets, events, and planning. Diane serves as the Executive Assistant to the Director and is involved in all aspects of the daily administration of the Cancer Center to support its research mission.

Lorie-Anne provides pre-award support for grant applications inlcuding budget preparation, forms, guidelines, and general "boiler plate" information. She provides administrative support in the preparation of cancer center multi-investigator grants and serves as the Program Coordinator for the NCI funded Cancer Research Summer Student Program ( for more details on the summer program, click here). She also manages the purchase requisitions and billing systems for the shared facilites at the cancer center and provides general support in planning of Cancer Center Research events.

Alex manages the shared tissue culture facility and the central glass wash and autoclaving facility, in addition to maintaining general research facility equipment and operations including the central temperature, CO2 and liquid nitrogen monitoring systems.
