5. American Cancer Society Offers Three New Research Grant Programs.
The three new grant programs replace the former American Cancer Society Research Project Grants.
Deadlines for the three new grants are April 1 and Oct. 15. Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible.

6. Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs: Breast Cancer Research Program, Clinical Translational Research Award
This award has no dollar amount restrictions; however, research should be completed within 5 years. No more than $5M in total direct and indirect costs will be granted in any single year during the lifetime of the award

7. Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs: Breast Cancer Research Program, Innovator Award
Funding for an Innovator Award can be requested for up to $5M for direct costs for up to a 5-year performance period plus indirect costs as appropriate. No more than $5M in total direct and indirect costs will be granted in a single year.

8. American Cancer Society, Postdoctoral Fellowships
Awards are made for one to three years with progressive stipends of $40,000, $42,000, and $44,000 per year, plus a $4,000 per year institutional allowance.

9. American Cancer Society, Clinical Research Professor Grant
This grant is for established investigators in mid-career who have made seminal contributions that have changed the direction of clinical, psychosocial, behavioral, health policy or epidemiologic cancer research.
The award of up to $80,000 per year (direct costs only) may be used for salary or research project support.
